Hi, Kathy~ Great question. I'm on the lookout too. I found a couple of beauties at www.sewvestment.com, and another nice resource is www.everything-vestment.com. Also, e-bay often has some good deals if you look up "liturgical" or "renaissance" fabrics. Silk is another beautiful and traditional vestment choice for a base fabric, and I love Andrew Bloom's selection at www.silkbaron.com. Hope that helps...I'm continually learning myself.

Hello Rachel,Do you have any suggestions as to where I can purchase vestment fabrics at reasonable prices? I've been asked to make vestments for my church, St. Martin, and I'm having a difficult time finding appropriate fabrics that aren't cost prohibitive. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Thanks Denise! I'll get some more photos up soon...to tell you the truth, mom just recently found these...I was afraid I'd lost them! Yes, I think the family probably has some better photos of the Mass itself...that would be amazing!

So beautiful, Rachel! I love the cross and chalice emblem. And I'd love to see more photos -- I'm sure someone out there has an "action photo" of all the priests wearing the vestments up on the altar.
